Right back for Man Utd presuming O'Brien and Tomkins out...
|
The report on OS tonight indicated both O'Brien and Tomkins both out still for a significant period. Presuming they're not recovered by the Man Utd match, who do you play instead?
Antonio did well against a limited Blackburn side but do you need someone more defensive against Man Utd - could Reid play there as he looks set to return before then? Anyone else we could play there?

I've been impressed with young Sam Byram when he has played.

That's nice but he is STILL cup tied
Reid may end up playing there if Tomkins & O'Brien are still out. Sounds like they will be back in training but might be too soon

Reid still has nightmares about his first appearance at right back.
I've heard Oxford has been showing promise. We could try Pike, but Slav is not that much of a stupid boy.
Back to Antonio then.

Antonio.
He has the pace to stick with Martial, who usually plays on their left. I'd tell him to be a little less attacking to start with.

When we signed Reid he was playing right-back for his country, so he knows the ropes. But Antonio has never let us down in any respect yet.
